We have rollage!

Let it be known, on August 21, 2009 at 4 months, 1 week, and 5 days old {according to the ticker}, Reese rolled over! Completely! On her own!

Of course, I have no documentation of this momentous event, but fear not; the camera will be rolling the next time!

Also, could it be? Did we feel a little bit of a little pearly white??
Who knows, but something was stabbing my finger!

She's such a big girl!

Soak it up!

Thanks to this:

and this:

I get to eat breakfast in the mornings!

For my squirmy little wormy, there are very few moments of stillness during the day.
It is especially challenging these days as we seem to be in a "transition zone".
Laying down is not an option {in her opinion}, sitting/standing {unassisted} is not an option.
Needless to stay, it can be frustrating!
BUT, on the other hand, it is AMAZING to see her little brain start to process things!
She talks constantly. It is hilarious!
{can't imagine where she gets that from :)}
She wants to be involved in everything going on.
She has recently started fussing when she's put down to sleep.
I can only imagine it's because she's mad that she doesn't get to see what's happening!
I used to be the same way.
Parents of my friends used to LOVE it when I came to spend the night!
She's growing and changing and becoming her own little person.
Before we know it, I'll be packing her lunches,
{well let's be honest, B will probably be packing her lunches}
helping with homework,
and shopping for prom dresses!

Gotta soak every bit of it up...

Every. Single. Day.

August 11th

August 11, 2008:

August 11, 2009:

It was on this night one year ago, that I saw that 2nd line. Yes, that is 3 tests you see. What you don't see are the other 10. What can I say, I needed a little reassurance. I remember that night. I took the test and after 5 minutes and picking my jaw up off the floor, I called Brandon to the bedroom. I told him to sit down and close his eyes. I then put it in his hands. When he opened, he just looked at it for a second and then said, "is this a thermometer?" Hahahaaa, um, no. I pretty much lived in disbelief for the next few days, while he was crazy excited and teared up all the time!

What a difference a year makes!

**new post below!**

4 months!

Dear Reese,
I can't believe you are 4 months old! It seems like both forever and just yesterday that you made your appearance in our lives! You have made our lives much more entertaining and have added an incredible amount of value into our family! We can't wait to see what you do with your life and what impact you make on this earth!

We went to the doc today and here are our stats:
Weight: 12 pounds, 12 ounces {20%!!!!!!!}
Length: 23 inches {10%}
Head: 15.8 inches {10%}

You have tripled your birth weight in just 4 months! Way to pack on the pounds!

This has been a month of all new things for you:

Sucking your thumb {finally gave up on the paci and just let you roll with the thumb--I'll deal with the consequences later!}

Sitting {assisted} and playing with electronic equipment! {This photo was not staged AT ALL haha.}

New toys! Some assistance is still needed for the exersaucer, but you were definitely interested!

Haha, this would be a big fat FAIL! I'm sure in just a few short months, this blog will be filled with you splashing and laughing in the duckie bath. For now, you don't enjoy it. at all.

Rice cereal!!! Haha, this pic sums up our experience with the whole thing!

Other facts about our 4-month-old!
~ Loves blowing raspberries and "talking"
~ Not a fan of rolling over. She would prefer to slither across the floor than to roll.
~ Loves to watch the fish tank, Baby Einstein movies, ceiling fans, and lights
~ She's been sleeping through the night since about 6 weeks {or, when we learned of the amazing miracle blanket}
~ Still sleeping swaddled
~ Goes to bed between 7 and 8 and wakes up around 6!
~ Eating 6 ounces every feeding
~ Wearing 0-3 month clothes
~ Wearing size 1 diapers
~ Wishes really badly that she could sit {or stand} on her own!
~ Kicking her feet like a maniac!
~ Chewing and drooling like a maniac!
~ She is not the easiest to feed. She has learned to hold the bottle, but has only figured out how to push it out of her mouth. This occasionally presents problems.
~ Grabbing and holding onto Mr. Lion {lovie} and burp cloths

As you can see, the girl is busy! I can only imagine what the next few months will bring! Can't wait! We love you Reesie!

OH. MY. GEEZ. Yall, how crazy! It's amazing to see just how much growth occurs in the first year of life. What an amazing thing God did when he created this little thing called life!
